Emily Lavonne Wheaton Sebring, FL Emily Lavonne Wheaton, age 62 of Sebring, Florida formerly of Homer and Albion passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 in Auburndale, FL. She was born October 25, 1948 in Albion to Joseph and Violla (Hunt) Collins. On November 21, 1964, she married Richard A. Wheaton who preceded her in death June 23, 2008. Emily was a Nurse at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall for several years. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scout Troop #156 in Homer, attended West Eckford Community Church and was in the choir. Emily was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the America Legion in Albion, she enjoyed Bingo, reading, writing and puzzle books. Emily is survived by: sons, Brian (Janet) Wheaton of Sebring, FL, Richard A. Wheaton of Sebring, FL; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph (Jinny) Collins of Litchfield; and sister, Sharon (Claude) Shepherd of Stoutsville, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard and a brother David. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Pastor Tom Fox officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Albion.
