John Tucker Obituary

John T. Tucker Marshall John T. Tucker, age 66, of Marshall died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at his home in the loving care of his family following a long a valiant fight with his illness. John was born on October 4, 1944 in Marshall to John W. and Betty Jean (Thomas) Tucker. He was a life long resident of this area and was a 1963 graduate of Marshall High School. Following his graduation, he began a long career with Post Division General Foods as a Tool and Die Maker. He retired in 2000 after 37 years of service. On August 16, 1969, he married the former Paula Jean Piper at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Marshall. John was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and jet skiing. He also enjoyed his many trips to upper Michigan. He was an avid collector of John Deere Tractors and Deere memorabilia. He is survived by his wife, Paula; son, John (Randi) Tucker of Marshall; daughter, Jenny (Scott) Stone of Marshall; grandchildren, Jordan Stone, Justin Stone and John James "J.J." Tucker; sister, Janette R. (Marcus) Conner of Rogers, AK; brothers, Gerald (Sue Burns) Tucker of Battle Creek, Eugene A. (Carol) Tucker of Marshall, James Tucker of Marshall, Jeff (Sandy) Tucker of Marshall and Joe (Sue) Tucker of Marshall. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Marshall. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, at the funeral home. Memorials are to Gift of Life. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
