Mable Shilling Obituary

Mable Evelyn Shilling Bellevue Mable Evelyn Shilling, age 93, of Bellevue died Monday, January 3, 2011 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. Mrs. Shilling was born on August 20, 1917 in LaFontaine, Indiana to George William "Jack" and Stella (Dyon) Sharp. She was a Homemaker. On August 11, 1934, she married Kenneth E. Shilling in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1979. Mrs. Shilling was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed gardening, listening to country music, going to garage sales and playing cards. She is survived by daughters, Patricia (Vern) Norton, Judy (Lyle) See and Sue (Dale) Hoag; son, Bill (Jan) Shilling; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and brother, Jack Sharp. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Sampson; and sisters, Mildred Warsop and Helen DeBoy. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Marshall. A private funeral service will be held at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice or to the American Cancer Society. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
