Margaret Edmonds Obituary

Margaret B. Edmonds Lufkin, Texas Margaret Bernice Edmonds, 93, of Lufkin, Texas died November 18, 2010. She was born March 18, 1917, in Battle Creek where she lived most of her life. Margaret was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, active in the PTA at her children's schools, and a member of the Battle Creek Country Club. She devoted her life to her family who has wonderful memories of her kind words and her excellent cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Richard Alexander Edmonds, her parents, Albert and Ailene (Brooks) Bibbings, and her siblings, Alfred Bibbings, Louis Bibbings, Maurice Bibbings, and Dorothy (Bibbings) Walters. Margaret is survived by her son, Richard Albert (Carole) Edmonds of Cary, North Carolina, her daughter, Brenda Ailene (John) Jacob of Fort Worth, Texas, her grandchildren, John M. Vastbinder (Sheala) of St. Louis, Missouri, Gregory A. Vastbinder (Yvette) of Texas City, Texas, Scott B. Vastbinder of Bellevue, Michigan, Connie (Edmonds) Hale von Onseler (Robert) of Lexington, Kentucky, Elizabeth (Edmonds) VanderGast (John) of Raleigh, North Carolina, ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010 at Shaw Funeral Home, Battle Creek where a service will take place at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Brian Coleman, St. Thomas Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Nashville, Michigan. Friends may make memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or a charity of their choice. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home, Battle Creek. www.shawfuneralhome.com
