Rose Castanier Obituary

Rose E. Castanier Battle Creek Rose E. Castanier, 84, of Battle Creek passed away Monday November 8, 2010. She was born on March 16, 1926 in Battle Creek. Rose graduated from St. Philip High School in 1944. She married Robert C. Castanier Sr., he preceded her in death in 2003. Rose was employed at the VA Medical Center for 16 years retiring in 1977. She is survived by sons, Robert C. (Dana) Castanier Jr., of Kalamazoo and Samuel H. (Judith) Castanier, of Battle Creek; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Rose was also preceded in death by a brother, Faber Howard. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A Committal service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association. Arrangements are by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.

We were very sorry to hear of Rosie's passing. Our love, sympathy and prayers go out to Bob, Dana, Sam, Judy and all the kids. I, personally, will cherish all the fond (and funny!) memories I have of Rosie and the special time I shared with the entire Castanier family.
