Bonnie Gaunt Obituary

Bonnie Jean Gaunt, 82

Bonnie Jean Gaunt, 82, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away peacefully last week after a long illness. Formerly of Jackson, Michigan, she has resided in Mountain Home since 2002. Bonnie was born in Roseburg, Oregon and, at the age of six, moved with her family during the height of the Great Depression to Pine Castle, Florida where she grew up. She was the daughter of George and Marjorie (Hickson) Jeuck. She was predeceased by her husband of over 40 years, Ralph Gaunt, as well as by her parents and two brothers, George and Stanley.

Bonnie was a commercial artist and the author of fifteen books on ancient codes, measurements, and mathematics and how they relate to Stonehenge, the Great Pyramid and the Bible. As a young teenager she began putting together a time-line of the events of the Bible, for her own use, to help become oriented into an understanding of recorded events and their relationships to each other. These studies became her passion and developed into the work of a lifetime. Over fifty years ago she was introduced to the concept of Gematria and eventually became one of the world's foremost authorities on the subject. Bonnie has travelled throughout the United States, Canada and to the island of Antigua lecturing and teaching seminars on the topic, has appeared on numerous radio and television interviews and documentaries, and has been a guest of Pat Robertson on his 700 Club television program. Her fifteenth and final book, "The Dawn of Earth's Great Millennium", was written in loving appreciation to God for all He has done for her down through these many years and has always been given away free of charge.

She is survived by her son Lauren and his loving companion Grace, of Guilford, Connecticut; by her son Gene, of Ann Arbor, Michigan; by her sister Marjorie Rice of San Diego, California, and by numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her companion of many years, Ron Prosken of Mountain Home.

Burial has been private in accord with Bonnie's wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of one's choice and condolences may be sent c/o 1117 Meadowbrook Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653-4806.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services. Visit an online obituary and guestbook at www.kirbyandfamily.com.

Dear Lauren and Gene:
Our hearts are sad, but also rejoice as we learn of the death of your dear Mom. We were privileged to have gotten to know both of your parents when you were both growing up and living in Michigan. They were a great example of zeal for God and His word; and we're thankful for their example. May the promises of God's Kingdom and the blessings to all be of special comfort to both of you at this time. We look forward to the time when there will be no more death or sickness. Sending our love and sympathy to each of you, Mark and Roberta Tabac

Dear Gene and Lauren, We are so sorry for your loss. Mothers are very special gifts, and we are sure you will miss your dear Mother. Way back in 1975, your parents were very instrumental in establishing our love for the Lord, His truth and His children. We hope that the love of God's promises which your parents shared with you will bring you comfort at this time. "And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away." Isaiah 35:10

Our lives are spiritually richer because we have/had a sister in Christ named Bonnie Gaunt. Her devotion, her zeal, her humility, and her willingness to "think outside the box" were an inspiring example to us. Our years together in the Jackson Bible Students have left us with many precious memories of Bonnie, Ralph, and Lauren and Gene. You have all left your mark upon who we are today. Praise be to God! Precious in His sight is the death of His saints.

Bonnie Gaunt was a great woman of God. Her knowledge of God, thirst for understanding and passionate desire to share her new found wisdom was an important inspiration in my young life. She left behind an important legacy in the lives of so many. She is safely in the arms of the Lord I am sure.

I was just thinking about her the other day.. How sad, but sweet to know she will now meet the Creator which she so deeply pondered. Read some of her writings that I bought at a convention in Jackson, MI. Clearly she was a rare scholar, with a pleasant Christ-like demeanor. I know she was a charitable person who helped all kinds of people that the Lord brought across her path. She apparently led a rich life, glorifying the Lord.

Dear Gene and Lauren, Your mom had a profound impact on our lives. Her depth of scholarship combined with her quiet and unassuming nature were a treasure. We will miss her and want to extend our condolences and sympathy to both of you. Love, Paul and Joyce Lagno

IN MEMORY OF BONNIE
Jim Baine 30JAN12

We never met – But our oneness is there
For through her writings – She showed us her care
Toil she exhibited. Step by step she would share.
Faith in abundance – Her marks in Him would bare.

We never met – But in Him was a love so kind.
So few it seems – To the end – His Love Divine.
Through her books – Inspiration was so clear, so fine.
What a gift to us – His work to us so clear – Line by line.

She has indeed left behind His mark – Never to fade
In those she has affected – His precious steps she has laid.
One in a million – Our Lord chose as His prize.
One body, One Spirit she is still here – In this Spirit we shall rise.

What a gift our dear sister is – Whom we have not yet met
She shared such wisdom – In The Way He has set.
Memories – He has touched us. We are not to fret.
We may not have met her – But her sun will not set!

What a wonderful experience to have known Bonnie for several years through e-mail! We shared many thoughts and I was blessed to receive several copies of her last book for myself and others. I hate that we lived in the same state but never met in person. May God bless you Gene, Lauren, and Ron.
