Winfred E. Partee, 78

Winfred E. Partee, age 78, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 12, 1932 in Gassville, Arkansas to Eugene and Maxine (Webber) Partee.

Mr. Partee married Gwen Torrance June 16, 1953 in Norfork, Arkansas. He was a bookkeeper with the Mountain Home Telephone Company for 20 years, and served as a Deputy Sheriff with the Baxter County Sheriff's Department for over 30 years. He co-owned and operated Partee Pipe Company. He served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard for over 30 years and was a Korean War veteran. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church.

Mr. Partee is survived by two sons: Michael Partee and wife Tracey of Salesville, Arkansas and Rudy Partee and wife Jennifer of Mountain Home, Arkansas, a brother: Ernest Partee and wife Jo of Mountain Home, a sister-in-law: Almedia Partee of Mountain Home, Arkansas, four grandchildren: Christopher, Joshua, Kendra and husband John and Brittany, four great-grandchildren: Christian, Zachary, Michael and Zander and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son: David, a granddaughter: Nichole and a brother: Murel.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doug Huskey and Elder Remil Layton officiating. A visitation will be Thursday from Noon until 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
