Ruby Winfrey Obituary
Ruby P. Winfrey, 83, a resident of Clarkridge formerly of New Douglas, Illinois passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013, in Mountain Home.
She was born January 12, 1930, in Lebanon, Missouri to the late Robert Sherman and Ruth Jane (Hanks) Moore. Ruby spent most of her working career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed embroidering and was a member of the New Douglas Baptist Church in New Douglas, Illinois. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Winfrey; a son, James Douglas Winfrey and a daughter, Pattie Dian Winfrey.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Winfrey and Randall and Pauline Winfrey, both of New Douglas, Illinois; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Gary Toohey of St. Louis, Missouri; Jackie and Shawn Ray of Clarkridge and Judith Revell of New Douglas, Illinois; two sisters, Ilene Matheny of California, Missouri and Mary Church of Michigan; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in New Douglas, Illinois. Arrangements are under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
