Mary Magdalene Mitchell "Mugg" Hebert

Mary Magdalene Mugg Hebert 87, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at her residence following a lengthy illness. A native of Port Arthur, Texas she was born on November 1, 1923. Mrs. Hebert was a graduate of the Sacred Heart High School Class of 1941, and a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she taught CCD religious education classes for many years. She was also a cancer survivor, participating in the Julie Rogers Gift of Life and Relay for Life programs. A celebration of her life with take place on Monday evening, October 10, 2011, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Gabriel Funeral Home, 2500 Procter at DeQueen. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Sacred Heart-St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Charles Atuah M.S.P. officiating. Visitation will be from 9 am until service time at the church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd J. Hebert, Sr. and daughter, Rita Marie Hebert; four sisters and three brothers. Survivors include: two daughters, Patricia Hebert and Francine H. Gabriel (Leonard) of Port Arthur, Texas; two sons, Lloyd J. Hebert, Jr. (Adrienne) of Beaumont, Texas and Michael Hebert of Houston, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Vital of Port Arthur, Texas and Rosa Mitchell of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
