Mildred Sauzek Obituary

Mildred Sauzek
Mildred A. Sauzek, nee Swenson, 85, of Freeburg, Ill., born April 6, 1923, in Minot, N.D., died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at her residence.
Mrs. Sauzek was a retired cafeteria worker at Freeburg Elementary School and previously worked at the Belleville Pants Factory. She was a member of the Freeburg Senior Citizens, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the VFW Auxiliary.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F. Sauzek, who died Jan. 23, 1986; her parents, David and Olga, nee Sime, Swenson; a brother, Bernard Swenson; a sister, Myrtle Swenson; an infant sister; and a great-grandson, Devon Boyce.
Surviving are five sons and three daughters, Corliss Boyce of Freeburg, Ill., Sharon (Tom) Luebbers of Darmstadt, Ill., Lynne Watts of Freeburg, Ill., Curtis (Susan) Sauzek of Gillespie, Ill., Donald (Linda) Sauzek of Normal, Ill., and Lee (Cindy) Sauzek, Daniel Sauzek, and Bernard (Gigi) Sauzek, all of Freeburg, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, Sean (Helen) Boyce, Allison (Mark) Thornsberry, Matthew (Chelsea) Luebbers, Patrick Watts, J.D. Watts, Eric Sauzek, Jeff (Leslie) Sauzek, Melissa (Ted) Kroenig, Jason (Kendra) Sauzek, Jennifer (C.J.) Klein, Ashley Sauzek, and Emily Sauzek; nine great-grandchildren, Jarod, Jayden, Gavin, Logan, Jared, Elizabeth, Katherine, Marin, and Lauren; a brother, William (Eleanor) Swenson of Portland, Ore.; and a sister, Margaret (Victor) Husek of South Carolina.
Memorials may be made to Family Hospice or to the Belleville Area Humane Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, Ill., with Fr. Mark Reyling officiating. Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery in Belleville, Ill.

Grandma, I am going to miss you very much. I am so glad I went and saw you the night before you died. I had no idea it was going to be the last time I saw you. You actually perked up the very most since you got sick. But, now we know you are in a better place and not suffering anymore. We are all going to miss you very much.

Grandma I am going to miss you so much. I will never forget all the good times we had on vacations and all the other times and I know that Devon and Grandpa are going to take good care of you in Heaven. You always meant the world to me and I just want to apologize for not being able to be there before you left to go be with them. From Jayden Jarod Gavin Logan Helen and myself we will always love you and miss you. Please look down on all of us from time to time, as I will be looking up to you,grandpa and Devon.
