Hazel Kempf

Hazel Clara Kempf, nee Hoepfinger, 86, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Dupo, Ill., born June 10, 1925, in Millstadt, Ill., passed away July 11, 2011, at Bethesda Southgate Nursing Home in St. Louis, Mo.

Hazel was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in East Carondelet, Ill.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Kempf; her parents, Alfred and Bertha, nee Werner, Hoepfinger;, her son, Dennis Kempf; and her daughter, June Ann Kempf.

Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn (Richard) Hill of St. Louis, Mo., and Kathleen Muskopf of St. Louis, Mo.; her grandchildren, Jamie (Jennifer) Kempf, Jared Kempf, Jason (Mary) Moore, Eric Muskopf, Evan Muskopf and Adam Muskopf; her great-grandchildren, Cody Kempf, Emily Kempf and Emmalee Smelley; and her sister, Marlyn (Mel) Schinzing. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in East Carondelet, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., with the Rev. Matt Friz, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in East Carondelet, Ill.
