Clarice Hudson Obituary
Clarice M. Hudson, 93, of O'Fallon, Ill., formerly of Belleville, Ill., born March 10, 1923, in West Blocton, Ala., passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, Ill.
Clarice worked at Graphic World as a proofreader for 18 years. In her free time she loved to garden, spend time with family and travel "home" to Alabama and the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
Clarice attended St. Nicholas Catholic Church in O'Fallon, Ill., and always placed God and family first during her very blessed life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pleasant Kimbrel and Mae Kimbrel, nee Hyde; her husband, Richard P. Hudson; three brothers, Lothair, Dale and Wayne; two sisters, Jackie and Kathrine; and a grandson, Brian L. Barber.
Surviving are her daughter, Myra (Keith) H. McMullen of O'Fallon, Ill., and son, Richard (Jacqueline) Hudson of Belleville, Ill.; two sisters, Mae Nell Acker of Gulf Shores, Ala., and Patricia Beasley of Pensacola, Fla.; five grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa) Barber of Shiloh, Ill., Steven (Denise) Lauer of New Athens, Ill., Angie (Buddy) Jeremias of Collinsville, Ill., Jenny Hensler of Belleville, Ill., and Mary Sherrin of Mascoutah, Ill.; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, friends and aquaintances.
Per the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family. Condolences may be expressed online at www.valhallagardensandfuneralhome.com.
Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., with Father William J. Hitpas officiating. Interment following services at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.

Dear Mom,
Today is the last day we can enter any more memories into this guest book. Now that you are gone I have so many things I wish I had ask you about.
We really missed you on our trip to Gulf Shores Alabama especially since you had always gone with us for the last 24 years for Thanksgiving. Words can never say how much I miss you mom. These are the words I said to you each night I tucked you into bed. " I love you and good night".

Dear Ma Hudson,
It's been a year since you've gone to be with God and although life has been good, it's simply not the same without you here to share it with.
Myra and I miss you so much. Your smile, your listening ear, your warm presence in the room. We know you're in a better place. You can see, hear, smell, taste and laugh with your friends who had gone before you! That has to be awesome! We also know you've given Brian a big hug from us and get to be him each and every day. How great it will be when we're all together again someday.
