Larry Shultz

Larry Shultz, 72, of Belleville, Ill., born Sept. 29, 1944 in Steubenville, Ohio, died on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at Mercy Care Center, Swansea, Ill. surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends.

Larry was a Vietnam Army veteran and received the Good Conduct, National Defense and Sharpshooter Medals. He was a pipefitter/millwright with Spectrulite Consortium for the past 30 years. He was a member of the United Steelworkers and the O'Fallon Sportsman's Club.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Thomas W. Cima; brother-in-law, Thomas W. Cima Jr.; parents, Elbert Shultz and Grace Roberts, nee Barron; sister, Velma Cilli and her late husband, Eugene Jedneski; his twin brother, Garry Shultz and his surviving wife, Cathie Shultz of Bergholz, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ellen, nee Cima, Shultz; his mother-in-law, Marilyn G. Cima of Shiloh, Ill.; his brother-in-law, Dennis L. (Annette) Cima of Millstadt, Ill.; He was the "Unkie" of his niece, Kimberly A. Cima and grand-nephew, Dylan M. Martin both of Belleville, Ill.; the brother of John (Jerri) White of Wellsburg, W.Va., Jim (Charlotte) White of Pennsboro, W.Va., Art (Diane) Shultz of Toronto, Ohio and Alan (Kathy) Shultz of Toronto, Ohio. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.

Memorials are preferred to Christ Church, Hospice of Southern Illinois or to Jefferson Barracks Veterans. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.kasslyfuneral.com.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Services: Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, with Rev. Shane Bishop officiating. Interment will be held in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
