Aldo Piovesan Obituary

Aldo Piovesan, 83, passed away on February 27th, 2011. Aldo was born in Blaine, WA to John and Veronica (Pavan) Piovesan on July 14th, 1927. Aldo attended Blaine High School (1945) and joined the military as a merchant marine for a year. His calling to continue his studies took him to Washington State University, Pullman and Seattle University where he graduated with two Engineering degrees in 1952. Aldo retired in 1988 from Boeing where he worked as an Engineer for 36 years. Aldo met Barbara Kuska when she moved to Blaine in 1943. They began dating their senior year of high school and were married in 1948. They lived and raised a family in Seattle, WA. Aldo was very family oriented and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodwork and toy building. Aldo loved the outdoors and enjoyed his John Deer tractor where he was always willing to take the grandkids and great grandkids on tractor rides around the property. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his brother, Primo of Ferndale, WA. Aldo is survived by his loving wife Barbara, his daughter Carol (Raymond) Blaine, WA and sons David (Pam), Mesa, WA. James, Spokane, WA. Robert, Normandy Park, WA. Michael, Burien, WA. AJ (Linda), North Bend, OR. His sister Irma, San Diego, CA and sister-in-law Nan, Ferndale, WA. Aldo also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Jerns Funeral Chapel, 464 8th St, Blaine on Friday March 4th, 7:00 to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Sat March 5th, 10:30am at St Anne's Catholic Church, Blaine. Burial will be held on March 7th, 10:30am at Blaine City Cemetery. To Barbara and family: Ginger and I were shocked and sad to hear of Aldo's passing and will miss our visits with the two of you each summer. He was a special person always polite,friendly and a pleasure to be with.We will miss him. We wish you all the best and Barb, lean on the Kids , take it slow.
