Coralie Hamilton Obituary

June 21, 1932 -February 11, 2011 Taken home by angels, Mother left our world quietly in her sleep Feb 11, 2011. She was born June 21, 1932 to Jack & Claudine Sumner, the eldest of seven children. Mom lived a full life and enjoyed several hobbies including gardening, sewing, crocheting, reading and card games of any kind. Mom was an avid baseball fan and loved her Seattle Mariners. Mom married her lifetime love and best friend Douglas Hamilton while attending the University of Idaho in her hometown Moscow. They settled in Glacier, Washington and went on to raise four children. Mom was the owner of two stores in Glacier at different times and is well known for her love of people and business. Above all Mom loved her family and adored her children and many grandchildren. Generous in spirit with a natural loving demeanor she will be missed by many. June was survived by her husband Douglas: her daughters Karen (Steve) Siekkinen, Katheryn Hamilton, Leslie (Kevin) Copps, and son Thayne (Chris) Hamilton. Ten grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A family memorial is being planned for this spring. A special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital and Whatcom Hospice for their loving care and guidance in those last days. My Mother died with her hand in mine and my other hand on her heart. She was one of the last pioneers of the Glacier area. She lived what she taught, which was, "If you cant say something nice, then don't say anything at all" She gave her entire life to raising her 4 kids and caring for her husband Doug Hamilton. I love you Mom, I'll miss you forever.
