Donna Carter Obituary

Donna Mae Carter, 84, of Ferndale, WA, passed away at her home on March 29, 2011. She was born July 21, 1926, in Flasher, ND, to Carl B. and Dagny (Jonson) Nelson. Donna married Harold L. Carter, Sr., in 1945. Harold passed away in 1999. Donna loved her family and enjoyed gardening and taking care of her cats. She is survived by her son, Harold, Jr., and wife Linda Carter of Ferndale; her daughters, Shirley M. and husband Ray Darrow of Ferndale, and Nancy Jean and husband Bill Finkbonner of Bellingham; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 4, at Triumph Lutheran Church, Ferndale, with visitation from 10:00 until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Moles Greenacres Memorial Park. Memorials are preferred to Triumph Lutheran Church or Whatcom Hospice.
