Elizabeth Evans Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Elvie Evans passed away May 28, 2011 in Lynden WA. Betty was born June 3, 1920 to Grace and Ruby Alexander in Riverside, WA. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, T.W. "Bill" Evans in 2008. Betty is survived by her son Garrett Evans (Mary) of Ferndale, and her daughter Jane Brandt (Gordon) of Orondo, WA, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her brother William "Bill" Alexander (Guy) of Lynden, WA. She graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for many years in Bellingham. Patient, gentle and soft-spoken, her family and friends always treasured their time with her. She made "blackberry pies' that were coveted by everyone. She loved to cook, garden and was a master seamstress. She will be missed by everyone who knew her and will be remembered as one of the most beautiful people we've ever known.
