Having been the primary contact point of the Sheriff's Office concerning communications, I had developed a relationship with Grant over the last three years. He always provided practical and competent solutions to our problems and projects. His relaxed style, common sense, and ever present smirk will be missed. We'd also like to extend our most heart felt sympathy to his family and loved ones. Chief Deputy Art Edge

Grant thank you for all the service you provided maintaining the Sheriff's Office radios. Before using SND we had difficulty getting good service. You were always willing to help and looked for solutions, especially during the recent narrow band changeover. I don't think we will be able to find someone to replace your skills and knowledge.

I worked for Grant for over 9 years, we must of been having a good time as the years went fast. He would give you the shirt off of his back. His family and kids meant so much to him as he spoke about them all the time. Grant supported and sponsored us in our sports and interests. Our thoughts are with you all. We have attached a picture of Grant doing tractor time building a Moto Cross track in Whatcom County. He loved his tractor time....

To the Cooper Family-I last saw Grant at our 10th Class Reunion in SP. I had no idea he was living up here! I've been living in Kent for the past 18 yrs. My heart aches for all of you. Gaye...I will keep you in my prayers as this must be so hard on you. I can't imagine how difficult your loss is but I know my memories will continue to be of the wonderful, kind and loving brother I saw Grant to be. He was an awesome classmate and will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. God's blessings to the entire family as you are held in prayer during these difficult days.

When I heard of the passing of Grant I was saddened deeply. Grant was instrumental in assisting our business with developing our communications needs since 1993. Grant became a good friend with an always cheerful disposition. His smile and wit will be fondly missed. Grants Children and extended family are in my thoughts.
