Jack Washburn Obituary

Jack T. Washburn passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011. He was 83, born January 5, 1928 in Blaine to Merritt and Dottie (Seargent) Washburn. Jack attended Birch Bay Elementary and Blaine School District. A mechanic at heart, he owned and operated Washburn Sand and Gravel Excavating. He enjoyed his family and friends, fishing and camping. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife Arlene, whom he married in 1948; children, Carol Payne, Diane Peterson, Dean Washburn, Jackie Nolte; grandchildren, Brian Siverson, Bobbie Hall, Joshua Peterson, Ben Washburn; great-grandchildren, Hannah Fleming, Logan Hall, Austin Peterson; and numerous nieces and nephews, and other family members. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice or Stafholt Good Samaritan Society in Blaine. Visitation will be Friday, April 29, from Noon to 1 PM, with a funeral service at 1 PM, at Moles Greenacres Funeral Home.
