John McKeown Obituary

John H. McKeown went home to be with his Lord and Savior March 7th 2011. He is desperately missed by his wife of 29 years, Molly (Moira), two children, Arianna and Owen. Born in 1943 in Delaware to John and Ada Mae McKeown, John grew up to be a strong, quiet man who prioritized his life according to his love of God, family and country. He dedicated his life to caring for the needs of his family and extended family whom he loved. John lived his life honorably, serving in the Merchant Marines, the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, and had a long career as an aircraft mechanic. John had a strong sense of compassion for those in need, and gave time and resources to many charitable organizations including those for the homeless, unborn children, wildlife conservation and rehabilitation, and tutoring English as a second language. A memorial will be held on March 26th at 2:00 at Rome Chapel. Please visit http://www.jernsfuneralchapel.net to send condolences.
