Lysle Grace Crosse

1927-2013 MANCHESTER CENTER Lysle Grace Crosse, a resident of Manchester Center, Vermont passed away on November 26, 2013 at her home. Born in New York City on April 14, 1927, the daughter of Nelson and Grace (Hickey) Niblock, she graduated from Christopher Columbus High School, and she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from New York University and Master of Arts degrees in Education and Counseling Psychology from Manhattan College. Lysle taught health, safety, and physical education at White Plains High School, in White Plains, New York, for over 35 years; she also taught at the New York City School for the Deaf and Florida Southern College. Lysle was a member of the American Synchronized Aquatics Professional Performing Group, and she toured Europe and South America as a professional synchronized swimmer. Lysle was passionate about her animals and rescued many dogs over the years, she was an avid reader, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lysle is survived by her daughter Heather Joy Crosse of Manchester Center; her son Scott Crosse and his wife Marcia of Arlington, Virginia; and her grandchildren Tyler and Harrison Crosse.
