Bernice LaBarge

Bernice E. LaBarge 1944 - 2011 HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. Bernice E. LaBarge, 66, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at the Ellis Hospital. She resided on Lyman Street and was the wife of the late Bernard J. LaBarge. Bernice was born on Sept. 19, 1944, in Hoosick Falls, daughter of the late Ralph and Florence Gates Granger, and attended schools in Hoosick Falls. She was formerly employed at Stanley Tools in Shaftsbury, Vt., for 33 years. Survivors include her daughters, Norma Markicwicz and Florence Sprague, both of Hoosick Falls; sisters, Florence Mayfield of Clifton Park, Norma Landy of Cohoes, Alice Springer of Eagle Bridge, and Stella Hamilton of Bennington, Vt., grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Mackenzie and Madison Sprague, and 21 nieces and nephews. Bernice was predeceased by sister, Marion Colvin, and by brothers, James and Raymond Granger. FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services will be Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m. at the Rosewood Cemetery in White Creek, N.Y. Relatives and friends may call at the cemetery from 9 a.m. until the start of the service. Arrangements are under the care of the MAHAR FUNERAL HOME, 43 Main St. Memorial contributions may be to the Hoosick Falls Food Pantry through the funeral home.
