Kyra Williams Obituary

Kyra Jean Williams

SHAFTSBURY Kyra Jean Williams, beloved daughter of Lynn and Christopher Williams of Shaftsbury, died of injuries sustained in a car accident in Montana, on Aug. 17, 2013. She is survived by her sister Genna, of Livingston, Mont.; her brother Seth, his wife Abby; her niece, Luna and nephew, Jude of Albuquerque, N.M. She is also survived by her brother Joss, his wife Jennie and their three children, Aaron, Noah, and Gabriel of Los Angeles, Calif. She also leaves behind her grandmother, Pam Kammerer, aunts, uncles, loving cousins and friends spread around the country. She leaves her Montana family, Julie and Ben Ferencz and their daughter Evie. Kyra attended local Vermont schools. She graduated with a BA from Bates College in Maine in 2008. She lived her life to the fullest, as an organic farmer, and a business woman, making organic baby food she sold at the local farmers market. She loved living in her tiny Aristocrat trailer under an apple tree without electricity or indoor plumbing at Foothill Farm, in St. Ignatius, Mont. Every day she looked up at the Mission mountains and gave thanks to the earth she loved so much. Please join her family on Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Shaftsbury Community Center at 3 p.m. for a celebration of her life. Bring a dish to share and a story to tell.

Dear Williams family,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss! I played soccer with Kyra as well, but my best memories of her are from the farmers market. She was always rocking to the music and was so great with my kids each week - she will definitely be missed by everyone she came in contact with!

Dear Williams Family,
I am so sorry that you have lost Kyra. I also played soccer with Kyra here in Missoula. She and I played forward together, and I have great memories of some goals we scored together. She was an amazing player, and an even better person. I am thinking of you.
