I knew Kay years ago in college. We lost touch, but I know some people who were still in contact with her. Even though it was many years ago,(SUNYA, at the time) I remember her distinctly as a genuinely nice, warm and always interesting person with a lot of originality and creativity. I was so sorry to hear about her passing.

Would that this world had more gentle, giving, loving, laughing spirits like you, Kay. You leave this life and community better for having known you. Much love to those you leave behind. Prayers for Nick, your children, and grandchildren--a beautiful family circle.

I was sad to hear of Kay's passing. She will be missed by all that knew her here at Out of the Loop. Her surprise visits light up the shop. I will sincerely miss our conversations about her family, friends, and fiber adventures.
My deepest sympathies to all of you at this time.

Dear Kay, your absence is felt deeply, by soooo many people,
You were always so upbeat - up lifting - honest attitude, philosophical, humorous,
straight talk, animal & flower/nature loving.
You were so loving, so giving to family and friends.
You were a prime example for how people should be & act, so rare in today's world.
Bless you. I know Mum (in heaven) is crying for you, too.

Dear Nick
I am at a loss of words to adequately express the depth of my grief at the untimely loss of Kay Ten fully knowing and understanding the close bonds that the two of you shared and enjoyed. She leaves a wonderful legacy of home spun friendship and assistance to all who knew her and those that she cheerfully helped. My prayers are with the both of you.

I am beyond sad for the loss of this beautiful person who I was getting to know better. The day she died, she helped me figure out a stitch I couldn't get. She was the go to person for anything fiber. I know there is a special place in heaven for her.

I have two huge bags of towels and sheets that I am taking to the Ulster County SPCA. I will donate them in honor of Kay. Others may think it strange, but those of us who know and love Kay understand.
