Douglas Pleshaw Obituary

Douglas V. Pleshaw, 74, formerly of Adams, MA, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at North Adams Commons.

He was born on June 30, 1942 a son to the late Gervin and Gladys (Griswold) Pleshaw. He graduated from Charlemont High School. He was employed with Aladco and his latest employment was at Sprague Electric for 24years serving as president of the IUE, AFL-CIO Local 200.

Douglas was married to the late, Ann M. (Wol) Pleshaw who died in 2001. He enjoyed his work as union president and negotiator while at Sprague Electric. He also loved his work with the disabled. He was an avid Red Sox fan.

Doug often expressed his thanks to the staff of Unit 2 at the North Adams Commons. After his extended stay there they became a part of his family. A special thanks to Domenic Negri, his personal caregiver and friend.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Douglas Pleshaw will be held on Friday, June 30 at 1 P.M at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Adams, MA.
