I was an ICU nurse at Carraway and took care of many of his thoracotomy patients. They always did well because he had a personal "hands-on" approach to their post-op care. He is fondly remembered as the kind of surgeon you would want taking care of you.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear of Dr.Tyndal's passing. I worked as his scrub nurse for a couple of years at Carraway. He had a quiet sense of humor and was a joy to work with. He often spoke of his family and I'm very sorry for their loss at this time.

Dr. Tyndal was one of my mentors during surgical training at Carraway in the 80's. He was always gentle, kind, fair and unflappable! Many of Dr. Tyndal's lessons and examples still come to my mind almost daily in my surgical practice. I am privileged to have known him and gotten the benefits of his instruction and pleasure of his friendship.
