JAMES WARREN RAMEY

RAMEY, JAMES WARREN James Warren Ramey, of Hoover Alabama, passed away on December 4, 2011. He was born and raised in Mt. Olive Alabama. He loved spending time with his family, especially his 6 granddaughters who were the light of his life. He graduated from the University of Alabama, Birmingham and also received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. He was formally employed with the Internal Revenue Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Abbie Ramey, and by a daughter, Jana Justine "Scoopy" Ramey. He is survived by his wife, Gail Proctor Ramey; sister, Gayle Rogers (Hugh); brother, Jerry Ramey; step-sons, Chris Stovall (Branda), Keith Stovall (Lori); granddaughters, Caitlin, Emily, Abby, Hannah, Haley and Piper Stovall; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 8, 2011 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:30-12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
