I work with your son in Asheville, NC as a physical therapist. I can ony say that you and your husband must be very proud of your son and the type of individual he has become in our community. I lost my Dad many years ago but felt so fortunate to enjoy his presence during my adult years. It gave me the chance to show him what good work he did in concert with my Mom. Thinking of you and your family and prayers will always be there for you.
Sincerely,

Richard was a gifted physician. The Birmingham Medical Community and Citizens greatly benefited from his skill in the operating room as well as the boardroom. Richard was a natural leader who used his intelligence and warm personality to everyone's benefit.
I also knew him in his favorite place of all at Sandcliffs in Seagrove Beach. He loved the sun, surf and a good book. I remember seeing and visiting he and Martha under the beach umbrella at sunset. This world is a better place because of Richard Lytle, M.D.

Martha,
I am just so sad for your loss. What a wonderful, kind, funny man Richard was. As his legacy, Karen and Rich are a testament to Richard's upstanding character. I can only imagine how much God is enjoying him now; and I can see the twinkle in Richard's eye as he explains to the angels why his beloved Sharpei's are wearing diapers......
