Ronald MacLellan Obituary
He graduated from Bishop Dubois High School and studied at Manhattan College. He was employed by AT&T Long Lines as a Design Engineer for 35 years. Ronald married his second wife, Vickie Lee Gardner MacLellan nine years ago. They loved to travel with their dog Molly in their retirement.
In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by his five sons and their wives, Steven and Ute, John and Roxanne, Michael and Heather (formerly Olga), Andrew and Linda and Peter and Dawn; one step-daughter, Gigi and Mitchell Teague; two step-sons, Scott and Deana and Chad; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters and their spouses; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
His memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27th, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Brevard, NC, officiated by Father Shawn O'Neal. Inurnment will follow the service in the church columbarium.

My hero, confidant, my exhaulted example of what a world class gentelman and scolar, provider, is all about, to be emulated, and followed to the end of time. Quiet, perseverent, determined to obtain the best for all his family. Dad, we love you, we will carry you with us in our hearts forever, you are with Mom and Karen now, You pave the way for all of us to join you in heaven at some time in the future eternaty, please watch over us, guide us on the straight and narrow, with God's approval, Amen.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
