Paul Gramlich Obituary

Paul A. Gramlich, 88, of Pilot Grove, died November 17, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Columbia, Mo.
Mr. Gramlich was born on March 5, 1922, to Lawrence and Augusta Aurig Gramlich in Pilot Grove, Mo. On April 15, 1942, he married Josephine Twenter in Clear Creek, who survives of the home. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was wounded on the beaches of Normandy.
He received three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Clusters for valor. He farmed in the Clear Creek area and worked for the A&P Grocery Store in Boonville for 34 years and several years with Gerke's Grocery. He was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Clear Creek, the VFW, and the American Legion Post #266 in Pilot Grove.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters-Barbara (Bill) Hill of Sikeston, MO; Julia (Jerry) Hazlett of Pilot Grove; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren;and one sister-Annie (Naomi) Waller of Pilot Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son-Richard; three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services for Mr. Gramlich will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at the St. John's Catholic Church in Clear Creek with burial in the St. John's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19 at the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove with a prayer service at 5 p.m.

Julia,
