Warren was the master of South House, which is what Cabot House was called then, while I served as a resident tutor in 1977-81. I am forever grateful to Warren for bringing just the right balance of firmness and bonhomie that made South House such a special community of students and fellows. Knowing him and Ann was a very special experience for both me and my wife Ginny, whom they welcomed into the House when she married me. We send our deepest condolences to his family and hope that they draw comfort from knowing that he and Ann are fondly remembered.

I worked for Dr. Wacker many years ago as his secretary at Harvard University Health Services. He was a wonderful person to work with and my memories of him will remain in my heart forever. My condolences to the family. He will be missed by many.

I was sad to hear of Dr. Wacker's passing. We worked together for many years, I will always remember him as such a kind and gentle man and who always passed out the gifts at our Holiday party's years ago. He is missed.

Dear Wacker Family,
I am very sad to learn the news about Warren's passing. My uncle, Frank B. Harkins, Jr., was his crewmate, navigator on the B-17's, and best friend during WWII. I got to meet Dr. Wacker around 10 years ago, when we connected thanks to the Website of the 483rd Bomb Group, and then I visited Ann and him in their Brookline home. We spent a memorable afternoon as he recounted stories of the war and of his great friendship with my uncle (who was lost in March, 1945). I will never forget him or that day. May you find comfort in faith and strength in the love of family and friends. I pray that Warren, Ann, Uncle Pancho, and other loved ones are reunited in eternal peace and joy.

Warren and I worked together over many years, first on the Brigham house staff, then in Bert Vallee's lab. He was a very good scientist and an excellent clinician. My life was much richer for having him as a friend.
