Whether discussing the latest book or, as my son Rich has said, "screwing in a shelf for a stranger," you knew he was going to perform with unimpeachable competence "come hell or high water." We loved Mort and for all of us who were lucky enough to get to know him he will remain forever an inimitable presence.
