DR. ARTHUR PERRY HALL

HALL, Dr. Arthur Perry 87, of Newton Centre, February 19, 2013. He was born in Boston on November 12, 1925, and grew up in Brookline and Nahant. He graduated from Phillips Academy in 1943 and was a member of the Class of 1947 at Harvard, graduating in 1948 because of time spent in the Army Air Corps. He received his medical degree at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. He then returned to Boston to practice internal medicine and rheumatology for more than 50 years at Brigham and Women's Hospital until his retirement in 2007. In 1951 he married Martha Harris Herr, who died in 1984. He is survived by his children Vickery Hall Kehlenbeck of Wellesley, MA, Arthur P. Hall, Jr. of Washington D.C., Sarah H. Ingram of Silver Spring, MD and Edward P. Hall of Tokyo, Japan; his grandchildren Alexander Kehlenbeck of Seattle, WA, David Kehlenbeck of Poughkeepsie, NY, Allison Hall and Emily Hall of Washington D.C., and Laura Hall and Philip Hall of Cary, N.C.; and one great-grandson, James Nielson Kehlenbeck of Seattle. He was predeceased by, in addition to his wife, his twin George A. Hall, his other brothers Francis C. Hall and Howland P. Hall, and his sister Priscilla Hall Fitch.
