1947 - 2016

SHEPHERD, Robert A. Passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2016. He was a Christian Science Practitioner for more than 30 years and Committee on Publication for the state of New Hampshire for several years. He was an active member of the Timberlane community, including serving on the school budget committee for several years. He was a dedicated stay-at-home father who enjoyed movies, model railroading and music. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Alice G. Shepherd of Atkinson, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Tapley and Josh Trudell of San Antonio, TX; a son, David Shepherd of Manchester, NH; a brother, Richard E. Shepherd of Cary, NC; and other extended family. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, at noon at the Atkinson Congregational Church in Atkinson, NH. Burial will be private. in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chestnut Hill Benevolent Association, 910 Boylston St., Chestnut Hill, MA 02467 or Bates College, Office of College Advancement, 2 Andrews Rd., Lewiston, ME 04240.
