As commander of the 1/11 Inf, Colonel Brennan energetically supported my application to OCS, and checked up on me mid-way through the program. I appreciated his no-nonsense leadership and personal warmth. I am very late to offering my condolences to Maureen and his family and wish I had been there for his remembrance.

I am quite late because I looked for Major Brennan and he was still alive. I found that General Schweitzer had passed away and I was wondering about the other people I worked for in the Plans and Policy Division at SHAPE, Belgium. Sorry for your loss. He was a good boss.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of my old friend, Franny Brennan. Although time, geography and careers have separated us, I will always hold fond memories of his ready smile and unbounded energy. Maureen and Tara, I am so sorry for the loss of Fran. He was truly a special man, with a gentle way, kind smile and unconditional love for his family. You have your own special guardian angel looking out or you both, just as he did here on Earth. He will be missed by all who him. We are sadder, but Heaven is richer for having this wonderful man join his family and friends above. He will be waiting with open arms to greet you again, when our time on Earth is through. Remember and cherish all the memories and stories (and he some great stories)and he will live on forever in our memories. Take care of yourselves and each other through this difficult time.

I am deeply sadden by the passing of Professor Brennan. His smile truly lighted up the room. He shared his experiences and knowledge and helped guide me among other students into a better future. He probably never knew how much he was loved and how much he change each person he encountered. Professor Tara I was also, one of your students a few years ago and just know that I will pray that you not with your family find the peace you will need. You are blessed your father was a great man. May he rest easy now..
Love Always,
Christie
