MALLOY, Susan Curtin 82, of Wellesley and North Falmouth, on January 19, from complications of ALS. Predeceased by her husband, John, on the same date 38 years ago; also by her parents, John and Eleanor Curtin, and sister Bonnie McCarthy. She leaves her daughter Elizabeth and husband Rich Letteney, of Southborough, daughter Martha and husband Peter Pina of Pepperell, and son Tom of Wellesley; grandchildren Sarah, Laura and John Letteney, Justin and Andrew Pina and Kathryn, John and Patrick Malloy. Also survived by her sister Carol and husband Ronald Walsh; and her nieces and nephews and their families, who meant the world to her. Sue also leaves her longtime best friend, Anne Stephans, her dog Otis and special people Claire and Diana. Sue was a Newton real estate broker for many years, most recently with Hammond Residential. Contributions may be made in her memory to Compassionate Care ALS (ccals.org). Visiting hours Friday, January 22, 4-7pm at the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St., WELLESLEY. Funeral Mass Saturday, January 23, at 10am in St. John the Evangelist, 9 Glen Rd., Wellesley. Interment will be private.

David and I are so sorry to hear of Sue's passing. I just went on the NSB website and saw this today, May 30th. We are so sorry we did not hear before this of her passing. Sue was a lovely, beautiful, kind person and she will be missed. Please know we are so sorry.

This note is very late. I just went to look up Sue because I am thinking of buying a property in Newton. Sue sold my first house to me 36 years ago, and I have gone back to her whenever buying or selling in Newton. I am so sad to learn that she is gone. She was a wonderful, open and pleasant person to deal with at all times.

Sending sympathy to all the Curtin families......Jack and Eleanor were so proud of their three daughters and their children and grand children. Sue, being the oldest, was always special. She was my own mother's flower girl in her 1939 wedding in Rochester, NY. And I was so happy to have her visit us here last year. We will remember her classy, beautiful, welcoming ways. I hope her legacy will keep us together as family.
She will be missed.
