Dear Lorusso Family,
The news of Loretta's passing has brought me great sadness. I send my deepest condolences to the Lorusso family.
Friends since junior high school and all through high school, Loretta and I continued our friendship through letter-writing for the next thirty years. We shared a lot over the decades and across two continents. She was indeed one of my oldest and dearest friends.
Often I told Loretta that she was one of the most courageous women I had ever met. From the beginning Loretta had set a path upon which she traveled with a sense of conviction unmatched. Loretta's spirit flowed lovingly and gently from her and touched those of us who knew her in a most unique way.
Your family will continue to be in my thoughts and in my prayers.
