RYAN MCGRATH Obituary
Ryan was strong, kind, polite, generous, and engaging. He was a thinker who had a wonderfully clever sense of humor and a keen memory that his mother always relied on. Ryan was a peacemaker; he was always interested in what others had to say, took care to see that others were comfortable, and helped those who he thought were being discriminated against. Ryan loved playing basketball, playing the guitar, watching our Boston sports teams, and listening to music, particularly classic hip-hop. He was proud of his dual careers in commercial real estate and national and international event promotion for classic hip-hop artists. Ryan was a loyal friend to his friends from Hingham and Manhattan College, and his colleagues from MIT. Most importantly, Ryan would always tell us that he loved us, and he was openly thankful for all he felt he was blessed with. His love for spending time with his big extended family and the love he had for his dogs graced us all. Ryan, you are loved by everyone you loved and will be forever missed. You've made us so proud to have you as our son and brother. Until we meet up again, there is comfort to know that you'll be resting in God's peace. Love you Rhino.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham. See www.Keohane.com or call 1-800-Keohane for directions and online condolences.

It is still so raw and upsetting. It is very hard to accept a wonderfully spirited human being Ryan is no longer with us. I send prayers to Ryans parents. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Tod, Mimi, Mike, extended family and friends. Anyone who met Ryan walked away knowing they had just been in the company of a very special person. He had a way of making people feel happy and special themselves. I know that's how I felt the first time I met him. Everyone you touched, Ryan, is a better person for having known you. Of course, it is far better for our children to outlive us and carry our presence forward, not the other way around.
