What a wonderful friend - we are going to miss Bud. His enthusiasm for biking and other sports was fun for all of us. John will especially miss his discussions about womens tennis matches. Bud was certainly an inspiration to us and he will be with us each day as we bike.

Bud was a great example of how to grow old and keep active. Through illness and injury, he got back to riding as soon as he could. When some physical problem got in the way...he bought a different bike to accommodate to his needs...all the while doing impressive mileage every year! Jerry and I will miss him greatly...a good friend and a role model for those of us who have followed him around on bikes! I thought he'd live to be a hundred, and I'm sad that he didn't, and we extend our sympathies to his family on their great loss.

Carol and I extend to your and your family our deepest sympathies at Bud's passing. Bud was clearly the nicest and warmest curmudgeon that I have ever known. And his biking was an inspiration to us youngsters.

We regret that we will not be attending the wake or the service for Bud because Hal has contracted pneumonia. But our absence will in no way alter or diminish our feeling of losing a truly wonderful person.

We cannot believe Bud is no longer sharing and leading the Freewheelers on our rides, attempting to educate Bob about sports, enjoying Wimpy's birthday lunches, riding at temps that others wouldn't consider, and serving as a great inspiration to us all. Thank you Bud

We were shocked by the news. Our thoughts are with you at this time of sorrow. Bud has been such an important part of our life, we shall always remember him and our good times together. See in the Gallery a recent picture taken in Martha's Vineyard with Bud, our leader in the center (as usual) surrounded by good friends. With love
