Fredrick J. Donovan

DONOVAN, Fredrick J. Of Andover, died at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, Reading, on June 17, after a long struggle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Watts) Donovan. Mr. Donovan was born on June 8, 1933, in Lewiston, Maine, the son of the late Leo and Elizabeth D. (Spencer) Donovan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and taught English for 40 years at Chelmsford High School. Besides his wife Mary, he was the devoted brother of Elizabeth Robinson of Norwell and Diana Estes and Leonis Donovan of South Harpswell, Maine. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggett's Pond Road, Andover, Monday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Calling hours will be Monday prior to the Mass in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, ANDOVER, from 9 to 10:30 AM. Burial will be private.
