John Burke Obituary

BURKE, John A. "Augie" A life long resident of Brockton, unexpectedly while at work, at the age of 49 on June 18, 2009. Son of the late William J. and Catherine (Allen) Burke. Devoted brother of William J. Burke, Jr. and his wife Lori of Saugus, James E. Burke and his wife Ann of Norwell, Julia Burke Tracy and her husband Patrick Tracy of Milton, Michael M. Burke of Brockton, and Daniel J. Burke and his wife Nancy of Easton. Dear uncle of Tara Burke and Daniel Burke both of Norwell, Catherine Tracy of Milton, and Rachael Burke of Saugus. Also survived by many beloved and devoted life long friends. John was born in Boston and grew up in Brockton. He was a 1977 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School, and a graduate of Stonehill College, Class of 1981. For the past 10 years he worked as a Driver for Fowler Printing Co. of Randolph, MA. "Augie" was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rte. 28), RANDOLPH until 9:00 AM Tuesday, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 in St. Michael Church, Avon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. I am so sadden about your loss. Auggie was such a nice person. I saw him just a week ago at the Cod. We were chatting and laughing; it was great! He will be missed and my prayers are with the Burke family and all of Aug's friends.
