Mark Podsedly Obituary

PODSEDLY, Mark Robert 6/16/62-11/26/08. Mark died at home in Dover, MA surrounded by family & friends after a 10 year battle against a brain tumor. He is survived by his wife, Melisa Stern & his daughter, Natalie Podsedly. He was the son of Robert & the late Linda Podsedly, brother of Scott Podsedly & brother-in-law of Steven Stern. Mark received his EE from Rochester Institute of Technology & his MBA from Boston College Carroll School of Management. Mark always said, "You can't spell geek without EE!" He travelled the world for 10 years as a product marketing manager for Sun Microsystems. While computers were an important part of his life, his family & friends always came first. He adored Natalie & would hold her in his arms for hours while she slept as an infant. When his friend & caregiver, Rich, was diagnosed with cancer, Mark declared, "We'll fight this together!" Whenever he met a new doctor, nurse or caregiver he always wanted to know about their lives beyond health care. Mark & Melisa also shared a love of "all things Asian." A memorial service has been held. Donations in Mark's memory may be made to The Natick VNA, 209 W Central St #313, Natick, MA 01760.

Melisa and company,

A beautiful tribute to Mark, on this, his birthday. May the memories that you, Natalie, Steve, and other family and friends have of him allow you to continue to feel his love and put a smile on your face, and may the pain of your loss gradually subside over time.

Sincerely,
Dan
