I just heard about Peter's passing. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with Peter and the Williams family. Peter and I spent my hours together on the baseball fields of CM, at our Summer Sports Camp in WR and with the CYO Hockey programs. Peter was a fun guy to work with and has done much for many over the years. Pete will be missed.

Stephen,
To you and your siblings I extend my deepest symphathy and sorrow for the loss of your Dad. I met dad some eleven years ago when I first became involved in CYO. Through these many years I not only learned about Peter the Archdiocesan CYO Director, I have learned about Peter the man, and the caring father. I have heard stories of his younger days at Cathedral, he made a point of showing me his picture hanging proudly in the lobby. He talked about his children with much pride and love. I am so grateful for the weekend down at the NE Tournament in April, Joe and I spent alot of time with Dad, and I will have that memory always.
I am grateful for getting to see him just recently.I am honored to have called Peter my friend and will always remember him with respect.
As long as he stays in your heart he will never really be gone. I am quite sure he is with our heavenly father.
"Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them."

To Peter's Children and Sister
I want to express my sincere condolences on the passing of your father/brother.
We were very close; we both grew up in St. Kevin's Parish. He was my coach in both baseball, basketball. He introduced me to coaching and referring C Y O sports. For a great number of years we were referee partners for CYO ,High Schools and the Boston Park leagues.
Most importantly he was a very good friend someone who you could count on. Your father was an incredible man who gave tirelessly of his time to the youth of St. Kevin's and the entire Archdiocese of Boston and beyond. He had such a positive impact on thousands of people in particular young people who came into contact with him through the CYO.
I will always be grateful for what he did for me and the friendship we enjoyed together.
R I P Peter your job on earth is done an you did it well.

Sad to hear Pete is no longer with us. We spent lots of time together on the baseball field and cruising in his car. When I think of Pete I have to smile. He was intense, fun, more caring than he would like us to know. Judy and I will keep his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.

Great football coach at Cathedral HS in the late 1970s. His very successful 1978 team went 7-2-1 and beat a team coached by Heisman Trophy winner Joe Bellino. Last saw Pete 10 years ago when he came to our class's 25th reunion. He was all smiles. It was really good to see him. Just a really good guy who made a positive difference in many people's lives.
