Bob's love of life was inspiring. I was very lucky that he would, on occasion, take me aside and share his thoughts and ideas with me. The rest of the time he had me in tears with laughter. Our times together were too short and too far between, but they are memories I will cherish always.
All my love to Marie, Gary, Linda and all the family.

Marie and family, I was very saddened to hear of Bob's passing. He was a great guy and determined to live life at his fullest and with you by his side, how could he miss. Although I have not seen you and Bob in about 20+ years, I enjoyed getting his e-mail and I could hear his laughter in each and every message he sent me. Marie, please take care and my love to you and your family.

Bob,
You wil be missed. I can't think of anyone I more enjoyed discussing all matters philosophical and humorous with. Your knowledge was broad, your insights deep, and your humanity was boundless. I hope you and Emerson get a chance to converse--and if so, save me a seat! I miss you, my friend. Dr. Peter Saltzstein

Bob Marotta was more than just my father-in-law. He was my friend, my mentor, and my role model. He took great joy in life and loved talking with people everywhere. He told jokes and made everyone laugh. Wherever he went, he made people feel good. I was privileged to be included in his family.
