Many years ago Gifford invited me to your home.
Probably 1973. We were roommates at VFMA.
I am sorry for your loss and would like to speak with Gifford and catch up with him. He came to my home when we were cadets at VFMA.
God bless your family
Ned Greenhow.

Flash,
We liked and loved each other. I can hardly believe that someone as full of life as you were is no longer with us,and even though I moved to California and haven't seen you in years, I missed you for all those years. Now, well, maybe the Universe will let us see each other sometime.

I remember the day Sarah and my brother Bob were married. They both looked so happy, had so much to look forward to. Bob was very lucky because Sarah was smart, strong, and determined. And, yes, she had a twinkle too.
They had 3 children together and each is now grown and following his/her own path. I am sure that Sarah was incredibly proud of them and took great satisfaction in knowing that she helped get them to this place.
My condolences to her family.

My condolences to Sarah's family. I haven't seen her since our childhood at NCCS, but remember her as if it were yesterday: so happy, smiling and effervescent. Many fond memories that cannot be erased by time and space. I send my prayers.

I knew Sarah briefly as a young wife and mother married to my first cousin. Even with little kids running all over the place, she was always welcoming and warm. I remember especially the sparkle in her eyes, which held a trace of mischief, and her delightful ear-to-ear smile. I might have arrived at her house feeling a little sorry for myself, but Sarah helped me snap right out of that moroseness....
Our paths crossed again decades later, when both of us had finished raising families. And even though things had been far from easy, her courage and resolve were undaunted. We had several long phone conversations catching one another up on our lives: she shared her story, and listened to mine, and together we chalked it all up to lives well lived. One thing we both knew: we had given everything our best shot. And we gave one another resounding pats on the back for that.
She left a powerful impression which I will never forget.
