Vivian Dickerson Obituary

DICKERSON, Vivian Delorise (Davis) Of Dorchester, age 57, on August 1, 2009. Vivian was born September 3, 1952 to the late Frances and surviving Richard Ivan Davis, Sr. in Boston, Massachusetts. Vivian attended Wellesley High School and went on to obtain a degree in journalism from Syracuse University. Vivian was a Boston Globe Employee for several years, having retired about thirteen years ago. Vivian was a kind and wonderful person and will be mourned and remembered by many. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Joseph Dickerson of Boston, her father Ivan Davis of Boston, and brothers Richard Davis, Jr. of Boston, Robert Canzater of Canton and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends. Vivian will be interred at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mattapan, MA, on Monday, August 10th after a remembrance of her life at J.B. Johnson Funeral Home, 196 Warren St., ROXBURY, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. She will live in our hearts forever.

Vivian was the most pleasant co-worker who I had the pleasure to work with at The Boston Globe. Her gentle nature will not be forgotten.
