Dear Diane and family,
I cannot find the words to express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Karl was a great man with a wonderful sense of humor. I will always remember his great smile. I, as well as Kathy, have a lot of great memories spending time with all of you (many years ago). I truly hope that time heals your hearts and brings you peace. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dr. Wesolowski was the first person to welcome me to Salem State College from his office in the Economics Department. Sharing verbal exchanges with him in my economics classes made all the difference for me.

His golden personality was the pillar of my brightest years at the college! I will never forget his sincere compliments as we celebrated our graduation in 2001.

Thank you Karl for everything!

Deepest sympathy on the loss of Dr. Wesolowski. It was a shock to read of his death. My former husband, Joe Boyd, and I have fond memories of Karl as one of the active new/young faculty members at SSC in the late 60s. My he rest in peace.

To Mrs. Wesolowski and the Wesolowski Family:
I was a student of Karl's for four years in the early 1990’s. Having moved to the West Coast long ago, it's been many years since I last spoke with Karl, but my memories of him are indelible. I am greatly saddened for your loss.
While my words won’t do him justice, I would like to share with you the fact that Karl was and is one of the great mentors in my life. He showed by example that a man of honesty, integrity and responsibility can also be a man of great laughter and joy. He also deeply cared about the people he loved. If a student gave Karl an inch he would give back a hundred miles. And if you needed “motivation,” he wouldn’t hesitate to give it (and I’ve got a couple of good stories there) where others wouldn’t give the time. I owe much of what I’ve made of my life (and hope to make of my children’s lives) to him. Thank you for sharing Karl with us.

Dear Diane and Family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of the news about Karl early this morning. It is difficult to put into words the amount of admiration and respect that I had for him. I found him to be one of greatest people I have ever had the honor to meet. And it truly was an honor. He was an extremely intelligent man with an infectious goodwill. Whenever you met up with Karl you were always greeted with a wide smile and a slap on the back, as if you were the most important person in the world. I learned far more than Economics from him. I learned of character, integrity, and responsibility that would serve me well in life. He was the ultimate gentleman. To say the least, I was far better off for having known him. He is a dear friend and a giant in my eyes. The best compliment that I could give him (and one I'm sure he would appreciate) is that he had Personality. Great Personality. I will miss him greatly.

Your entire family is in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Denny & Tina Drew
