To Bill's family,Our deepest sympathy. So many of us runners were so stunned when we heard of his death at the Boys/Girls Club race on Sunday. The local running community owes so much to Bill for founding the Hilltoppers now the Shamrocks. Bill helped a number of us train for the 100th Boston in 1996, my first. He was so friendly and so much fun. It's hard for us to grasp that he has passed and I can only imagine how sad it is for you. Our prayers are with you all.

Mr Feeney guided us to the New England Juvenile Championship in Gaelic football circa 1981. "tip it off your toe John" is what he would say from the sideline. Very nice man. Thank you for some great memories. Rest in peace Mr. Feeney.

Peggy my dear friend & family. I am deeply sorry to hear about your lost of your beloved Bill. He's always been a happy go lucky, swimming, running, sun bathing next door to me in our Clearwater/Largo Forida Resort Community "East Bay Oaks". He was a very good friendly helpful neighbor when he was in town, to me & others.
