Dear Maureen and Christine, I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Gertrude's passing....what a great lady. I have many fond childhood memories of her. As a kid, I always thought she was so soft spoken and dignified....i liked that.....I remember staying at your house one time for a week or so....during some vacation from school....my father was in the hospital and my mother was working nights so your mom and dad took us for a week.....I didn't want to go home when the time came. My mother sends her love, best wishes and condolences. My thoughts are with you all at this time, and I so wish I could be there. Much love to you all,,,,,Marie

Thank you for your many kindnesses to my mother - she liked both of you very much and I am sure she will miss having Gertrude as her roommate and seeing both of you.
