Still missing you Sister. Can´t ever forget relatives (you used to say you and my Mom were Irish Cousins she´s a Collins). Tell Sister Joanne hello. On my birthday on 12/12/12 she gifted me with a beautiful set of green rosary beads from Ireland. She said they were yours and you would love for me to have them. Three Sweet Ladies! You, Sister Jo and of course my Mom Elva. Love you!

I still remember those years ago when Sr. Mary stood before us giving a reflection. When she ended she said, "if you have to choose between the right thing and the kind thing, choose the kind thing.: That truly resonates deeply and keeps her fondly in my memory.

Sister Mary Hart, Always in our Hearts! Sr. Mary and my Mom "Mrs. Elva Lee Collins Abdal-Khallaq" held themselves out as "cousins" both descendants of Dublin, Ireland relatives. I´m so very thankful for a gift I received on 12/12/12 from Sr. JoeAnne, a set of green Rosary beads from Ireland belonging to Sr. Mary. Oh and talking about a "holy kiss". No one could peck a kiss like Sr. Mary Hart! Sr. Mary Hart a SweetHeart! We love you, still! Jumaada and Family

Sr. Mary Hart was truly a treasure for us at the St. Katharine Drexel Parish of which she was a part. When I think of her I paraphrase her thought when I say, "always do right, but most all be kind." I never forget that. A true gem that loved the children and us. We love you too Sr. Mary. Rest forever in Eternal Peace,

Sr. Mary loved the children. She worked tirelessly on behalf of them at St. Francis de Sales and St. Katharine Drexel parishes after school and summer camp programs. She will continue to have a special place in my heart. RIP Sr. Mary. We love and miss you.

What a spiritually wonderful person. Sr. Mary gave my high school son the best eveluation that prompted the principal of Xaverian Brothers high school to quickly give my son admission. When I told Sr. Mary that I could not afford the Xaverian annual tuition, she jokinly told me to play the scratch ticket for which I took her advice and won $500 on the same day. Great care giver to thousands of afterschool children. Peter Uzoma, (Hyde Park, MA).

Two things I remember most about Sister Mary:
She would walk around Roxbury with no fear and no prejudice. I asked her why she was so comfortable speaking and dealing with all types of people and she replied, "I treat everyone as if they are my first cousin". She was true to that. She would walk up to people and engage them in a conversation and they swore they knew her and would just dialogue back with her. It would take some of them a while before they would even realize that she was a stranger.
She worked with inner city kids teaching and training them to be productive citizens. Her famous line was "Do you want to own the Lexus or do you want to be the one to wash the Lexus - choice is yours." She truly loved kids and people.
I will always have the utmost respect and endearment to Sister Mary. So many of our kids have her to thank for their success. She was never short on love and compassion. She also had the best sense of humor.
You will be missed. Lots of love.

Sister Mary, so many memories. Friday night Pokeno, homemade clam chowder, Sunday afternoon meetings, and that cake, oh, that cake. And the list goes on. Needless to say these last 20 odd years have been memoraable. You've touched many lives, I will think of you always and especially when I'm at home sitting down watching t.v. with my back rest (smile). We definitely now have an angel in heaven watching over us. Glad I was able to spend time with you on Thursday. Love you, Jacquie Townes.
